PLC programming and system design

We specialise in systems involving PLCs, instrumentation and electronic drives. We try to select the best value solution for any project. We design, specify and program all systems in house. The majority of our work is control systems for special purpose machines or machinery renovation projects.
We often work closely with mechanical designers to provide the electrical and control side of a project to provide a complete solution for a client. Because we have a mechanical as well as electrical expertise, we can provide an intelligent interface with mechanical designers to help them achieve the most appropriate solution for their design.
We are a small company so the projects most appropriate to us are smaller machines or plants with a high concentration of electronics and programmable devices.
We select the most appropriate drives and instrumentation for specific applications from the wide range of product information we hold and our long experience of the industry. We keep up to date with the latest developments and products in this fast developing field.
We have recent experience of working with Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs with Device Net, Profibus and ASI field buses, but we can generally work with any type of PLC after a short period of familiarisation.

We worked with the designers of this pressure welding machine to produce a PLC based control system which was similar to the earlier pneumatic system but with extra features

Control desk fitted to a pilot plant for an unusual type of rotary kiln. The desk contains frequency inverters for speed control of the drive and fans and temperature controllers for the burner.

These panels formed part of a system controlling an electroplating plant. The system handles up to ten barrels in 24 baths using two transporters. Each barrel can run a different sequence. The system is controlled by a Mitsubishi FX PLC. It was quite a programming challenge!
